Whether you are buying, selling or refinancing your house, a form will usually be required by your mortgage company referred to as a Termite Letter, or Wood Infestation Report. This is sometimes required even if you have an existing termite bond on your home.  A wood infestation report or termite letter is a more thorough inspection of your home, identifying many different wood destroying insects and organisms such as termites, powder post beetles, white fungus and brown fungus.  Though many homeowners are not commonly aware of these types of fungi, they can cause in many cases much more damage than termites.  Upon inspection if wood decaying fungus is found, we are prepared, at an additional cost, to treat such issues immediately.  We also offer installation of polyurethane (plastic sheeting) that should be placed on top of the dirt in the crawlspace of your home.  Houses with crawlspaces that do not already have polyurethane installed are usually more susceptible to termite and fungus activity and damage.
